Lanning: UCLA Reminds Him of Indiana Title Team

Oregon coach Dan Lanning is drawing parallels between UCLA and Indiana's national title team as his Ducks prepare to face the Bruins on Saturday. Lanning, who saw his team fall to Indiana in the CFP semifinals last season, noted the similarities between the programs, both rebuilt by coaches from James Madison. djcc.club

Both UCLA's Bob Chesney and Indiana's Curt Cignetti brought their coordinators from JMU and brought in significant transfer players. Indiana had a perfect season and won the national championship last year, while UCLA has surprised everyone with a 4-0 record in Chesney's first season. 'We're about to play a UCLA team that reminds me a lot of Indiana from last year,' Lanning said.
