Brisbane Lions seal historic three-peat in AFL grand final

The Brisbane Lions secured their third-straight AFL premiership with a dramatic four-goal burst in the final minutes, overcoming a 17-point deficit to defeat Fremantle 14.12 (96) to 12.17 (89) at the MCG.

The defending premiers staged an incredible comeback after Fremantle's 'Wharfie Time' activation gave them a commanding lead. Brisbane finished like a freight train with Logan Morris kicking the final two goals of the match.

This was only the second time since 1981 that a team has won the grand final after trailing at three-quarter-time, following Geelong's comeback over St Kilda in 2009. The match began with a performance by Kylie Minogue featuring 'The Loco-Motion'. trojkonferencja2024.pl
