Indianapolis Colts GM Chris Ballard called NFL players returning to college 'the stupidest shit I've ever heard,' questioning why players would give up NFL careers after fighting their entire lives to reach that level.

Ballard made his comments Tuesday as the NFL faces multiple lawsuits allowing waived players to re-enter college football. The Colts' 53-man roster is locked in with no players attempting a return.

Former Buc Jack Pyburn tried returning to LSU but was claimed by the Chiefs instead.
