Rain Delays Milwaukee IndyCar Race

Rain forced INDYCAR to suspend the first Milwaukee race after 90 laps, delaying Alex Palou's bid for a fifth championship title.

INDYCAR suspended the first race of the Milwaukee doubleheader after 90 of 250 scheduled laps due to rain. The race will resume at 9 a.m. ET Sunday on FS1, with the second race still set for 1 p.m. ET on FOX. Alex Palou, who entered the race 91 points ahead of Kyle Kirkwood, needed to be 108 points ahead after the first race to clinch his fifth championship.

At the time of suspension, Pato O'Ward led the race, followed by Felix Rosenqvist, Alexander Rossi, Josef Newgarden, Christian Lundgaard and Kyle Kirkwood. Palou was 13th. If the Saturday race doesn't finish by 10:25 a.m. ET, it will resume three hours after the conclusion of the regularly scheduled Sunday race. FOX Weather predicts a 40 percent chance of rain Sunday morning. trojkonferencja2024.pl
