Chelsea are in talks with Emiliano Martínez's camp after being offered the goalkeeper by Aston Villa, who wants to sell after Martínez expressed a desire to leave.

Experienced World Cup winner Martínez has told Aston Villa he wants to leave, with the club having already signed his replacement, Zion Suzuki, for £30m. A potential move to Juventus collapsed last week.

Goalkeeper has been problematic for Chelsea in recent seasons, with Robert Sánchez prone to mistakes. Manager Xabi Alonso selected Sánchez for Monday's win against Fulham, but two errors led to goals. The club is considering Mike Penders as a future first-choice keeper. lebandit.lat
