Socceroos Star Lucas Herrington Makes Premier League Move

Lucas Herrington is set to become Australia's second-most expensive footballer with a £12.6m move to Premier League's Hull City, just shy of the national transfer record.

The 18-year-old defender, who was the youngest Australian to start at a World Cup, will move to newly-promoted Hull City with a fee of approximately £12.6m plus £4.4m in add-ons. This deal would set a new selling record for his current club Colorado Rapids and eclipses Hull's previous record of £10m for Ryan Mason.

Herrington's transfer comes as several Australian teammates have also made post-World Cup moves. With his meteoric rise, he's expected to claim Australia's transfer record from Harry Souttar in the near future. afnews.co.za
