Oberstdorf to Host Ski World Championships 2031

The International Ski Federation (FIS) has selected Oberstdorf, Germany as the host for the 2031 Nordic Ski World Championships.

Oberstdorf secured the hosting rights with 16 votes, defeating Slovenia's Planica, which received six votes. FIS President Alexander Ospelt congratulated the German town on what he described as an impressive bid from one of the most iconic venues in Nordic skiing.

Oberstdorf has previously hosted the World Championships three times, most notably in 2021, when Norway dominated with 13 gold, 11 silver, and 7 bronze medals. The previous championship was held in Trondheim in 2025. amunra-opinie.pl
