Vinicius Confirms Rocky Alonso Relationship

Vinicius Junior has admitted he didn't connect with Xabi Alonso during the latter's time at Real Madrid. The Brazilian forward referenced their public spat during El Clasico in October, when he was substituted and walked off saying 'Always me, I'm better off leaving [the club].'

The forward, who has a better connection with current manager Alvaro Arbeloa, confirmed he intends to renew his contract with Real Madrid. Vinicius acknowledged he made a mistake during the El Clasico incident but didn't mention Alonso by name in his apology. Real Madrid head into their quarter-final with Bayern Munich as underdogs after a disappointing loss to Mallorca.
