Brewers' Koenig Placed on IL with Elbow Sprain

Manager Pat Murphy revealed Koenig will attempt to rehab the injury and avoid surgery, with hopes of returning in two to four weeks. The left-hander, who had a 2.67 ERA over 127 games in his first two seasons with the Brewers, has been dealing with velocity issues this spring.

Shane Drohan has been called up to replace Koenig and could make his MLB debut during the series at Fenway Park, potentially against the team that traded him this offseason.
