Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya, who missed the team's match against Delhi Daredevils due to viral illness, is set to return for the five-time champions' away clash against Rajasthan Royals in Guwahati on Tuesday. Pandya traveled with the team after the Delhi game and will resume training after staying away from action for the last few days.
The decision to rest Pandya was precautionary as the tournament is still in its early days, with MI management not wanting to take chances with their premier all-rounder. MI lost their previous match against Delhi Capitals by six wickets, while Rajasthan Royals are currently topping the table after winning their first two games.
