Connor's Two Goals Lift Jets Over Blue Jackets

Kyle Connor scored twice to lead the Winnipeg Jets to a 2-1 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday night, keeping Winnipeg's playoff hopes alive.

Connor tied the game with 1:46 left in the second period and scored the winner with 9:02 remaining in the third, giving him 36 goals this season. Winnipeg now has 78 points, just one point out of the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference.

Mark Scheifele recorded his 59th and 60th assists while Connor Hellebuyck made 15 saves. For Columbus, Ivan Provorov scored on the team's first shot, marking the Blue Jackets' franchise-record 57th goal by a defenceman this season.
