Bayern Munich dismiss interest in Phil Foden

Bayern Munich have decided not to pursue a summer transfer for Manchester City star Phil Foden, citing financial constraints and a well-stocked attacking lineup.

Sport Bild reports that Bayern’s sporting director Max Eberl has ruled out a bid for Foden, whose €80m market value exceeds the club’s budget for an attacking player. The German side already has depth on the wings and midfield, with players like Luis Diaz, Michael Olise and Lennart Karl covering the positions Foden could occupy.

Manchester City are keen to extend Foden’s contract until 2027, but the German club’s focus remains on balance rather than headline signings.
