Michigan State baseball will face the Lansing Lugnuts in the 2026 Crosstown Showdown with a completely revamped format.

The annual exhibition matchup between Michigan State and the Lansing Lugnuts will feature a unique machine-pitched format for the 2026 game at Jackson Field.

Teams will play under a two-hour time limit with no stealing or bunting allowed. Each batter receives six pitches to put the ball in play, and fans can exchange caught home run balls for autographed memorabilia.
