Harbaugh Backs McDaniel Amid Offensive Struggles

Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh has expressed confidence in offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel despite the team's offensive struggles. The Chargers offense ranks 20th in the league, with quarterback Justin Herbert registering three touchdowns and four interceptions while his passer rating of 73.4 ranks 26th. The team has more turnovers (six) than touchdowns (five) as a whole.

While Harbaugh has publicly criticized Herbert's decision-making, stating the quarterback needs 'to be better,' he has not directed similar comments toward McDaniel. Herbert has defended McDaniel's scheme, saying 'He's definitely a guy that we need to lean on; he's done such an incredible job.' rocore.sbs
