Fields Could Return to NY with Giants

The Giants are expected to make a move as soon as Monday to address their quarterback needs. With starter Jaxson Dart out for the rest of the regular season due to knee surgery, the team is considering whether to find a backup to Jameis Winston or someone who could eventually replace him.

Fields, who has been mentioned multiple times by reporters, has a two-year, $40 million contract with $10 million guaranteed for 2026. The Chiefs, who are paying him $3 million while the Jets cover $7 million, could potentially recoup their 2027 sixth-round pick if they unload Fields's salary and elevate rookie Garrett Nussmeier to QB2. catcrossgame.com
