Steelers Place Dunker on IR

The Pittsburgh Steelers have placed third-round rookie guard Jennings Dunker on injured reserve due to an MCL sprain suffered in practice.

Dunker, who was inactive for the first two games, is expected to miss 4-6 weeks. The team filled his roster spot by signing running back Travis Homer from the practice squad, while also elevating RB Lew Nichols and defensive back Doneiko Slaughter.

The Steelers need the additional help at running back as Rico Dowdle is out with a toe injury and Jaylen Warren is questionable with a shoulder injury for their upcoming game against the Bengals. sportnewz.click
