The Bears' 59-37 victory over the Panthers marked the highest-scoring Week 1 game in NFL history with 96 points.

The Bears' road victory broke the previous Week 1 record of 88 points set in 2018 and was the first NFL game to end with a 59-37 score. Both teams scored their most points in a single game, though it wasn't the Bears' overall scoring record (73 points in 1940). cat-cross.com
