Johnson Buys Stake in F1 Team

New York Jets owner Woody Johnson has purchased a minority stake in the Aston Martin F1 team, becoming a vice chairman on the board.

Johnson, who has owned the Jets since 2000, also has a 43% stake in Premier League's Crystal Palace. The Jets haven't made the playoffs since 2010. chickenroad.qpon

"During my time as U.S. ambassador to the United Kingdom, I have developed a deep appreciation for Aston Martin's rich history, as well as Lawrence Stroll's strategic vision and entrepreneurial spirit," Johnson said in a statement.
