Barcelona winter signing sparks injury scare after frightening collision
Barcelona may have a fresh injury concern on their hands after a worrying incident involving one of their newest young prospects, Ajay Tavares.
The attacker, who joined Barça Atletic during the January window, was handed a starting role in the youth side’s recent clash against Gimnastic de Tarragona at the U19 level.
It was a significant opportunity for Tavares to showcase his potential, especially after returning from international duty with England’s under-16 setup.
In the early stages of the match, the winger looked sharp and eager to make an impact.
He was actively involved in attacking sequences, frequently receiving the ball in tight spaces and attempting to drive play forward down the flank.
From the touchline, coach Pol Planas could be seen encouraging him to push further into open spaces and stretch the opposition defence.
What happened to Ajay Tavares?
As per SPORT, however, the match took a dramatic turn following a moment of misjudgement.
Tavares attempted to chase down a long ball he had played ahead of himself, but the situation quickly escalated.
Unable to control his momentum, he slipped and collided heavily with the perimeter structure near the pitch.
The impact immediately raised concern among players and staff. For a brief moment, Tavares remained on the ground without movement, prompting silence around the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
The seriousness of the situation became evident as medical personnel rushed onto the field.
Fortunately, the young winger was able to get back on his feet, although he required assistance as he left the pitch.
Initial observations suggested a possible shoulder issue, with his arm supported as he made his way off.
Barcelona’s medical team are now expected to carry out further assessments to determine the extent of the injury.
While there is no official confirmation yet, the incident has certainly raised concerns around one of the club’s promising additions.
NCAA gymnastics regionals 2026 bracket, schedule for women's college championships

The women's college gymnastics postseason is here, and Oklahoma is the team to beat once again.
The Sooners have won three of the last four NCAA championships and sit atop the national rankings as the drive for the 2026 title begins.
The one hiccup in Oklahoma's recent run of dominance came in 2024, when LSU took the crown. The Tigers are the No. 2 seed this year, with another SEC team, Florida, sitting third. The Gators are on a hot streak, recording the highest meet score this year at 198.575 on March 13 against Kentucky, then topping Oklahoma, LSU and Alabama to take the SEC championship.
All of that would indicate the road to a national title goes through the SEC, but you never know what will happen in NCAAs. The first step for any contender is making it through regionals, and that path is set for each team.
Here's everything you need to know to watch it all.
NCAA gymnastics regionals 2026 bracket
The NCAA has announced the 36 teams headed to the gymnastics regionals, with 16 schools earning national seeds. Each regional will feature a first-round play-in dual meet, then two quad meets. The top two teams from each quad will compete in the four-team regional final. The top two teams from each regional final move on to the national championships.

Nygren hopes World Cup heroics can inspire Celtic
Midfielder Benjamin Nygren is hoping he can use his World Cup play-off victory as fuel in Celtic's quest for the Premiership title.
Nygren set up a goal in Sweden's 3-2 victory over Poland in Tuesday's play-off final to book a spot in this summer's tournament.
Graham Potter's side finished bottom of Group B in the qualifiers but made the play-offs courtesy of topping a table involving Slovakia, Estonia and Azerbaijan in the third tier of the Nations League.
"It was an unbelievable experience," Nygren said of his country's unlikely World Cup qualification.
"Something I've dreamt about since I was a kid. It was an incredible night. I think the best experience so far in my football career. It was almost like a movie."
And Nygren is hoping he can use his experience from helping Sweden qualify to get Celtic over the line in the title race.
Following defeat by Dundee United before the international break Celtic - who visit Dundee on Sunday - go into the weekend seven points adrift of leaders Hearts with seven games left.
"It's a little bit the same situation in a way," the 24-year-old added.
"In Sweden, we were counted out and we made it. That feeling was absolutely unbelievable. I want to do the same here.
"Just keep on training hard, keep on believing. I think that's the most important thing. Believing as an individual but also as a group, as a team. The whole club, the players, staff, fans, everyone together. Then we can make it.
"It's in tough moments you really can show who you are as a person and as a team. That's what we need to do.
"I've said it before but I think we have a great group and a great team. I think we've showed many times this season that we never stop believing and we never stop working hard. So I'm believing in this group."
New Buffalo Bills jerseys allegedly leak with surprise twist
The Buffalo Bills will take the field for the 2026 NFL season in the new Highmark Stadium, giving the iconic franchise a fresh home for a hopeful Super Bowl run. But the stadium won’t be the only thing new for Bills Mafia to enjoy.
Over the past few weeks, there have been rumblings that the Bills will be unveiling a new alternate jersey for the upcoming season. The jerseys are expected to officially be unveiled over the summer, but now, there appears to be a leak online.
Several accounts have been sharing an alleged leak of the new Bills alternate jersey, which brings a new color to the forefront.
Andrew Lind of Sports Logo Net shared a photo of the alleged leak, which is a “nickel-colored” (gray) jersey that includes the “Charging Buffalo” logo on the left shoulder. The jersey also features dark gray stripes on the sleeves, a blue collar, and blue numbers that are outlined in white and red. “Go Bills” is inscribed inside the collar.

New Buffalo Bills Alternate Jerseys?
Although they won't be revealed until the summer alongside a new helmet design, the Buffalo Bills' new nickel-colored alternate jerseys have been leaked: https://t.co/YXx6nX55fApic.twitter.com/EHv4hTeV3e

While the jersey has not been confirmed, Lind shares an interesting note.
“The Bills’ new alternate jerseys were leaked several weeks ago by the same Instagram account that leaked the Tennessee Titans’ new home jerseys,” Lind wrote. “The account – which is now private – also showed the Philadelphia Eagles’ updated jerseys with an outline around their wordmark.”

The jerseys are expected to be paired with matching silver pants with dark gray stripes and a new alternate helmet.
There has been no word on what color the helmet will be, but the buzz online is that Buffalo could unveil a new blue alternate helmet to pair with the new uniforms, so we’ll have to stay tuned for the official unveiling in the summer.
The Bills are coming off a 12-5 season, finishing second in the AFC East. The team beat the Jacksonville Jaguars in the Wild Card Round, before falling to the Denver Broncos in overtime of the Division Round.
It was Buffalo’s fourth Divisional Round exit in the last five years, and head coach Sean McDermott was fired just two days later.
Joe Brady, who previously served as offensive coordinator under McDermott, enters 2026 as the team’s new head coach.
